about

With a title that stirs up memories of an old Frank Zappa album, Skiye has put together a collection of most recent instrumental tracks spanning genres from classical to jazz to rock and more. The album opens with the classically transcribed first section of the “Evince” suite and quickly changes from there with the next track to a fusion/rock piece called “The Rosewood Convention” which is more similar to such later tracks on the album as “Memories of a Ghost” and “Cimmerian Blue. ” Skiye also pays a tribute to some of his favorite artists with tracks like “Go Ahead Miles” and “Take Anything” as well as keeping his more “Acoustique” flavor in tact with “Jules” (which also features strings) and “Bird Call (Intermission Phase 2).” This album is described mostly as a “great mix tape” for someone who loves music of all kinds. The many musicians and other various things that inspire Skiye’s music are prominently displayed here in auditory bliss.
